Once, Brazil was a land full of beauty and grandeur, a place of culture and adventure but now, mostly a barren, radiated wasteland, filled with creatures, monsters and horrors which one could only conjure within their worst nightmares. Here are beings warped, misshapen and distorted by the various types of radiation which now burn across this land, shadows of what they once used to be. Here wander people who once had dreams and hopes, looking towards a future, now hate filled, angry and hostile over all they have lost now responding only in violent, aggressive ways. What was once a great country now remains only a skeleton of its former self, the South and Southeast regions of Brazil the only survivors of a brutal, violent attack perpetrated against them by a being who was only bent on wanton destruction. This being was known as Event Horizon and with his own self destruction, he left his legacy in the burning sands of what is now known as the Bad Lands.
When the violence was over three days later, nearly seventy five per cent of her land lost, the Brazilian army shattered, dozens of meta beings left dead or dying with dozens injured with the biggest tragedy being the loss of millions of lives. Victory had come at a steep price and is today, a thought which still dwells heavily in the minds of the people of Brazil and is something that will not soon be forgotten.
Reclamation projects were started nearly twenty years later with the best technology and brightest minds of their time being used to help bring back a once beautiful country. With their current technology, people could only stay within the red zone for short periods of time and because of this, success had been very limited. Now, with advancements made in teleport technology, better bio tech suits and up and coming young metas who were resistant to the radiation of the Bad Lands, the last ten years have met with a great, all be it, small success. In the middle of the Bad Lands now sits a beautiful, green oasis of nearly seven hundred acres, a stark contrast to the harsh and angry environment of the Bad Lands.

Unlike the random, occasional raids made by marauders, this was an organized attack made with a large number which had resulted in the loss of many dozens of soldiers, scientists, researchers and workers in three attacks over the year. This had prompted concerns and worries amongst the those governments and organizations involved in the ongoing reclamation project. Concerns that something or someone is stirring up trouble deep within the heart of the Bad Lands has now sent out a request for the assistance of more meta beings.
